not at all, but from what i read here a lot of folk dont embrace new technology an seem to have problems with credit cards, so what if they have good equipment which aids to the scene, an just for the record i have been part of one of the longest running nights in europe so belive me i know what im talking about, my music speaks for its self an has self life, an no not everyone can buy new technology cos if they could everyone would.
djs have to embrace new technology, i mean the ol djs have set the bench mark, but the new djs are able to build from this, it just seems so silly that people woul not reconise new abilities,
for the last 20 yrs ive been aroun the worlds best such as louie vega terry hunter an quintin harris, tell them that they are not real djs cos they use technology an then ask the major artist they work with if they are pleased with the results they give, its all about progress.
bottom line from what i can see is that unless people use vinyl then they receive no respect from you guys.
i have maximum respect for the old skool but also welcome the new ere
