  • Biography
Brian McDaniel, (born July 29th, 1988), better known as Zero Armada, is a rapper, producer, engineer, CEO, and founder of Rebel Society Records. He began his career covering songs by other artists such as Lil’ Bow Wow and Limp Bizkit, but soon went on to write and record his own music. He released three full length CD’s during his High School years alone, All Inhibitions Gone, Ignorance is Bliss, and Revelations, which were produced solely on a demo version of Fruity Loops and recorded using Acid Pro.

After graduating High School, Zero Armada started working on a larger scale, having linked up with Killeen locals Sparkdawg and Green City. Things looked well as he recorded his first store released CD, Legendary with the hit song “Do The Damn Thang” on his own record label, Yung Hustle Records, but quickly went downhill as business associates attempted to take advantage of a young entrepreneur and derive him from profits. After Legendary released, Zero dropped all official business affiliates and started doing everything by alone once again.

Drawing inspiration from rappers such as Kanye West, Chamillionaire, and Nelly, he ventured off into more of a mixtape scene to get the respect of his peers. His first released mixtape was The Evolution Vol. 1 with guest appearances by Myke Blayze [Production], Syko, Z-Fresh, and Blakio. The biggest hit was the song titled “Crazy” featuring JVL. His recognition in his town soon increased as he opened his own recording studio and started producing more records for other artists. Shortly after the release of The Evolution Zero releases the mixtape I’m Everywhere Vol. 1 which featured the late Lonestar on the songs intro track titled “Hataz” which was produced by Kane Beatz. After Lonestar’s passing, Zero decided to retire the mixtape series after its first volume stating, “it was Lone who said ‘mayne you just everywhere bro’, so I only felt it right to retire it since I wanted to feature him on every other tape of the series as well.” The guilt of his last meeting with Lonestar still affects Zero greatly since he brushed Lone off due to a bad mood swing.

The Evolution Vol. 2 was the next mixtape released to the underground, featuring songs such as “Fame” with Blakio, and the 2-Much produced (producer for Ice Cream Paint Job) “Everybody Know Me In The Club” with Syko and Z-Fresh. The CD not getting the recognition it deserved, Zero went into a state of “hibernation” where he withdrew from music altogether and sorted his life out, returning only momentarily to release a highly inspired mixtape titled Useless Knowledge, and was a taste of what the future had in store for him. It featured very little original production besides the single “They Say” which was produced by Grenade of SCE Records. The music video was directed and shot by long time classmate and friend Dae-Dae Brown. Sadly, Zero had no drive or motivation to promote when it mattered most and even this project never received the following it should have.

Now, with his new label Rebel Society Records, Zero has released a mixtape by the title of The Dark Side on July 29th, his 23rd birthday, which features many of his old friends and many new ones. DJ Dacick 1 (da-sick-one) hosted this CD, which marks the return of a creative mastermind, and the emergence of a leader and businessman backed by a team of like-minded associates, friends, and family. Currently he is working on the second part of Useless Knowledge series entitled, Useless Knowledge 2: The Breaking, and the first full-length album in nearly 4 years, Zero Armada & Rebel Society Records Present: Welcome To The Rebellion.

  1. If you think you're throwed working with the same rhymes that Houston dropped back in '99... yeah.
