Transferring the reflective style of rappers like Drake to the genre of gangsta rap, Louisiana-based MC Kevin Gates spent five-plus years on the mixtape circuit before climbing into the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 album chart with his 2013 release, Stranger Than Fiction. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Gates made his mixtape debut in 2007 with Pick of da Litter. Mixtapes with titles like All In and I Don't Know What to Call It, Vol. 1 appeared over the next few years, but in 2013 he dropped the popular The Luca Brasi Story mixtape and things changed quickly. After appearing on high-profile mixtapes from Pusha T and Gudda Gudda, Gates signed a contract with major-label Atlantic. He completed his contract with the indie imprint Breadwinners Association by releasing Stranger Than Fiction that same year. The album featured guest spots from Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, and Starlito, and debuted at number 37 on the Billboard 200 chart. Plies, 2 Chainz, and Doe B helped deliver his 2014, Atlantic-released mixtape By Any Means, and the next year saw the single "Kno One" preview his 2016 LP, Islah. ~ David Jeffries

DJ E-MONSTA reacted to GreenHitz.com in TNT Ft. Jadakiss, Sheek Louch & Duane Darock - Throw It Up @tntillvillmuzik
TNT is a hip hop duo hailing from the City of Providence, RI.
T da Solja and Tommy G.U.N.S. are two skilled, well rounded MCs, whose music style and flavor is seasoned from years of living in a crime and drug infested public housing development called Wiggins Village. This is where these two formed a bond, not only a street bond but a true friendship that naturally grew into a musical brotherhood.
With a style and stage presence comparable to none, the duo has created numerous mixtapes which has generated a large following throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, and the Mid-West.
The rough, bold expression exhibited in their flow reflects daily life in the streets.  They share their experiences, strength, and hope. Real life stories varying from teen pregnancy, violence, police corruption, and child poverty to "throwing your hands in the air" rocking to the hook of a song that’s a party anthem.
Rhode Island is known for being the smallest state in the country, but stay tuned.
T.N.T. is already doing big things and sooner or later, things are going to get even bigger!
Teaming up with Corleon Productions and Duane DaRock,  you can expect their L.O.D.B (Last of A Dying Breed) Mixtape to be straight fire and a certified classic. It's avalilable  for download now on datpiff.com.
You can find T.N.T's latest videos and hit single "Everyday" on I-Tunes, Amazon, Tidal, youtube.com, worldstar, coast 2 coast  ect . .http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshh4BiarY7R6l6p7Nsw
It's clear through the music, that they both grew up during the era of real hip hop, real production and real dedication to the craft of MC-ing. These are two young, focused black men bringing  real rap back!!

DJ E-MONSTA reacted to GreenHitz.com in Lil Mikey - Crackspot (Produced by Evil G) @MoneyBoyMikey
Hip Hop Artist, Lil Mikey, was born and raised in East Oakland, California. Growing up, he always had a passion for Hip Hop because the emcee was influenced heavily by his uncle, MONEY-B, 2PAC & THE DIGITAL UNDERGROUND. By (2006) age 16, Lil Mikey started taking music and exploring the Hip Hop scene more serious by recording songs for Myspace while printing up his first mixtape to distribute in the city. In 2009, Lil' Mikey had caught the attention of Oakland rap native D.B THA GENERAL which they would come together and form the label "BAD MOUTH E.N.T" which included D.B Tha General, Quise Tha Criminal, Rico Tha Kidd, Dj Upgrade, Kurt Diggler, & Lil Mikey, The Money Boy.
Lil Mikey debuted his first single "Better Day" in 2010 off his solo mixtape called "Yung, Rich, Fly& Flashy mixtape" on the label. This single was a symbolism of his artistry and set the city on fire and would let every rap critic know that Lil Mikey is a force to be reckoned with on the Bay area musical scene. In 2012, the label parted ways due to differences, and Lil Mikey released his second mixtape called "M.O. E MIXTAPE"(MIKEY.OVA.EVERYTHING). During this time, Lil Mikey got caught in the crossfires, and was shot 5 times in which led him to be in a coma for -3- weeks,
After his extensive recovery, Lil Mikey released another mixtape in 2014 entitled "Mr. Untouchable" vol. 1 in which continued to display his diversity in his musical delivery on the rap scene of Oakland, California. Fast forwarding to today, Lil Mikey created a new imprint called-- Money Boy Entertainment, as well as, garnered the support of Foreign Gang/CEMG. Lil Mikey is now managed by Money-B of Digital Underground, and released his sixth mixtape "Eastside Nino" in 2015.
Lil Mikey, is currently under a joint label venture that includes his own imprint and Foreign Gang/CEMG. In 2016, fans can expect to hear more music from the emcee including a new music compilation project that will drop in second quarter.

DJ E-MONSTA reacted to GreenHitz.com in Jeremih - Pass That @Jeremih
Born and bred on Chicago's South Side, pop-R&B singer and songwriter Jeremih taught himself how to play several instruments and didn't consider himself a vocalist until a warmly received talent show performance. At Chicago's Columbia College, he struck up a partnership with fledgling producer Mick Schultz, and the two closely collaborated on the material that became Jeremih's debut album. In March 2009, slow jam "Birthday Sex," the first single, debuted on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart, eventually topped it, and even crossed into the Top Ten of the Hot 100. Thanks to that hit, Jeremih, released that June with production handled entirely by Schultz, debuted at number six on the Billboard 200. A year later, Jeremih issued his follow-up, All About You. Like the debut, it was produced by Schultz and spawned a Top Ten pop hit, though it was a club track -- "Down on Me" -- featuring 50 Cent. Five years passed prior to the release of Jeremih's third album. The protracted gap between full-lengths entailed numerous delays, a period during which the singer distanced himself from his earlier hits and blamed himself and his label for the slippage. The artist nonetheless hardly pulled a disappearing act, with the high-profile mixtape Late Nights with Jeremih, a Top Ten pop hit in the form of "Don't Tell 'Em" (produced by Schultz and DJ Mustard, and featuring YG), as well as appearances on numerous tracks headlined by other artists, most notably DJ Khaled's "Hold You Down." Late Nights: The Album finally arrived in December 2015 with guest spots from J. Cole, Future, Big Sean, and Ty Dolla $ign, among others. ~ Andy Kellman

DJ E-MONSTA reacted to GreenHitz.com in Lotto Savage - Trapped It Out @lottosavage21
Raised in the Southwest area of Atlanta, Lotto Savage is quickly building his name as one of the city’s fastest-rising rappers. Closely affiliated with Slaughter Gang’s 21 Savage, as well as Bases Loaded Records labelmate Yakki, Lotto Savage is emerging as artist with his own sound and message.
Lotto is currently preparing the release of his debut solo project in 2016 titled “Don Slaughter,” hosted by mixtape heavyweights DJ Holiday and DJ Kutt Throat. This tape follows his 2015 breakout feature on 21 Savage’s “Dirty K,” which has gained over 1 million views on WorldstarHipHip.com and appeared on 21’s “Slaughter King” mixtape.
The success of “Dirty K” was a major turning point for Lotto, both in creating a buzzing music career and giving him a positive influence outside the street life. “I just want to tell people about my struggle and how I changed,” he says genuinely. “I’ve been down the road, I did time, and there’s lessons I learned.”
Looking up to greats like Tupac and Biggie, Lotto has found his calling as a truth-teller for the youth. “Everything I say comes from the heart, I really did what I’m talking about,” he says. “I’ve been out [of jail] for 2 years and now I’m on songs with hot artists. I want to put out my story and have it help somebody else.”
Capitalizing off his recent accomplishments, the newly focused rapper has been performing at popular Atlanta venues like The Mansion, where Travis Scott took an interest in Lotto. Travis Scott is slated to appear on the upcoming release of Lotto’s debut single “Trapped It Out.” The single will be heavily promoted throughout the southeast, in both clubs and radio outlets, and Lotto is predicting the premiere to be a big hit in the coming months.
In addition to the Travis Scott feature, the “Don Slaughter” project will include appearances from 21 Savage, Yakki, Young Nudy (Slaughter Gang), and Lil Yachty. Lotto is also featured on Yakki’s mixtape “YakkStick” coming soon, and the “FreeManManSavage 2” mixtape out now.
The newly signed Bases Loaded Records artist now has a solid team backing his music efforts. After being introduced to the label through longtime friends Shooter, Ken and Yakki, BLR soon realized how well-liked and respected Lotto is among his peers. His movement and leadership paired with the music business experience of BLR is a promising union. “I got somebody behind me now,” he says gratefully, “and that’s a blessing.”
The motivation for Lotto to be as big as Jay-Z or Dr. Dre has never been stronger, but his goals go beyond money and fame. “I’m speaking facts, actual stuff that happened to me,” he says. “There’s a message in everything I talk about, and I want to create a change.”

    Let Me Introduce Myself
Hello my name is Trevon Davis, better known as “Tre100” was born, March 22, 1999 on the East side of Indianapolis Indiana.
    My Inspiration
What inspired me to become a lyricist was growing up with my older cousins, I always watched them record songs and perform at shows. My cousin always wanted me to record a song but I turned down the opportunity because I felt at the time I wasn’t ready. One day I just decided to give it a try and began freestyling until I got better and better.
    My First Song
My auntie introduced me to fellow lyricist Lil Ty (featured on song “In My Zone”) who had some experience in recording and performing. After hooking up with Lil Ty and learning more about music and the business side involved, he would later introduce me to GI Jane Label Executive for No Trace Records.  GI Jane recorded my first song “Not A Bad Guy” featuring Lil Ty. A few recorded songs later, I started to gain some fans who began to enjoy my music then I began to take music more serious.
    My Freetime
What do I like to do in my free time? I enjoy writing lyrics, listening to beats, and shopping.  When it comes to sports I like to play basketball. Spending time with close friends and family when I am not working on music or going to school.
    My Favorite Quote
My favorite quotes is "I can't sleep til they stop sleeping on me"
    My Collabs
Lil Ty, Riah, Ray Band$, GI Jane, YT, Duke Da God, Omunique
    My Future Collabs
I would like to work with Kevin Gates, Lil E, Kodak Black, Lil Bibby, G Herbo, King Louis.
    My Community
As I become more successful as an lyricist, my goals are to be a leader by working with upcoming artists and share some of the opportunities I had to become successful artists and entrepreneurs. Giving back to the kids financially and spiritually by motivating to reach their dreams.
Thank you for taking the time to purchase and listen to my music.

The Classic Album that changed the laws!! Believe it or not Portland has a rich history of the pimp trade and has had its share of coveted pimps. Covered nationally on media outlets it is often a frequent occurrence in the northwest and is probably happening daily without general knowledge. Rap has always been one of those platforms where street trends are commercialized but oftentimes fake vs real is actually happening. When it comes to rap and pimpin a few solid names come to mind but a group coming out of Portland called Pimpin & Panderin took it to a whole new level with their Album “Unlimited Game” which was released in 2003 Independently & Privately on the 'Streets Cross Country', then Re-Released to the 'Public' in 2014.
Pimpin is nothing new when it comes to the rap game as we know but often more used as satire and imagery. Difference with this Portland based group consisting of members, KV Da Million Dollaa Mouthpiece, PlayBoy Day Da' Mayor, Mac Dezie, and Suave P, AKA Liquid Anthraxxx The Pimp is their whole album is talking about nothing but pimping. Macking, sex, prostitution, playing your position, pimping, breaking hoes, hustler, mack daddy, and you get the rest this is pretty much what you envision when you hear the word pimp. Produced by Sporty, DJ Chill, Mad Zagg, C Anthony, and many more.

    DJ E-MONSTA reacted to GreenHitz.com in J-CooL - Stay Consistent @thepurpleprince
Music is at the its best a translation of what the soul feels, needs and wants – a mixture of pop, a true sense of what the surroundings want from the musician and then some what the world expects is no longer important. What you want from it is what matters, so what’s stopping you from reaching over and grabbing at it? Is it you? Is it someone else or the people who surround you? What is it really? Opportunity? You create your own, with each tune, with each string – and what’s more it’s yours for the taking, everything is, don’t stop.
That what J-CooL's ‘Stay Consistent’ is all about, it’s about the need to improve, the want to be more and the human desire to transcend. The lyrics at each stop of the tune make you want to listen in, understand and finally you end up caving for more, more and more. We didn’t expect ‘Halfway Shawty’ to have this effect – but now since the lead song is releasing online and on a massive scale – maybe J-CooL was right to leave the best for the last.
If you’ve listened to the other tracks on the album, you need to brace yourself because – ‘Stay Consistent’ is different, it’s about much more than just music, it’s about you and what you represent.
For more information and a complete list of tracks on the album / mixtape 'Halftime Shawty' stay tuned to us. We’ll bring in regular updates followed by feedback of others on how ‘Stay Consistent’ is changing their perspective on music.
