It's easy to get paid $500 a gig, You just gotta figure out how to add value to yourself, to seperate yourself from the rest of the pack. Here's some Tips. 1. you need a tight logo. A Professional designer will usually charge $100-200. Get some huge Banners/posters printed up, and hang em on the walls behind you, while you DJ at your events. 2. Instead of handing out business cards, you might put togeter a DVD and include footage of you rocking the crowd. This way Club Owners will see you are serious, and you're a good investment. Also, you can pay big name artists to record a 10 second video drop. You can easily get this done by contacting their manager or A&R...it should cost no more than $100. But it will be well worth it, it adds value when famous people co-sign you. 3. Get some T-Shirts pressed up (Mike Jones Style). Give em out to Females, if dudes see Females rocking your shit, they'll think your official. Make sure you use Quality T-Shirts that are comfortable, Females aren't going to rock no Fruit of The loom Bullsh*t. Bottom line, you gotta put money behind yourself, people will be more comfortable and willing to put you on if they see that. You may have to work Two Jobs, Max out your Credit Cards, Get your Gigolo on with a Fat B*tch, but it will be well worth it.
