Serato hands down.....I fucks with it on my mac and on the way to doin it with video. I like traktor scratch as well......no one i know here in the Chicago area fucks with Torq, but im not dissing it, maybe ill try it in the future.

Simply put, a true dj is one that is very good in one genre, or can be good in all genres. Here in the Chicagoland area, we rock everything in one set, from Hip Hop to Crunk to Snap to Juke to House to Dub to Dancehall to Reggaeton to Steppers to Soul and Mashups. A true dj knows music period if you ask me. A true dj knows how to calculate bpms in his mind (well at least i do) and dont need a machine to figure out the beats per minute. I find bpms in my serato now tho,lol......The true dj doesnt say "I dont play that", its about how and when to play a certain song to a certain crowd. The true dj knows how to talk to the crowd, to get them hyped, to get the crowd drinking if liquor is served. Usually you will know that you are a good dj when your client calls you back or if you get some that night or someone buys you drinks or tips you.
