Young Truth, born William McMillan, spent his early life in Staten Island, NY. At Seventeen, Young Truth began taking his career in music seriously and launched his development as an artist through his musical talent. This process began along with other emerging artists in the course of a camp Nock Productions which is geared towards artist growth. This camp taught Young Truth how to create his own songs and perform them with a level of enthusiasm that would set him apart from other artists. When his skills were built enough, Young Truth took it upon himself to leave Nock Productions out of curiosity and venture on his own. This experience has driven the young rapper to over 100 performances, appearances on various mixtapes, and DVD features. Young Truth has been influenced by other artist all his life including , Jay-Z, Biggie, Tupac, Wu Tang Clan, Rakim, and all hip-hop icons who paved a way and opened doors for other artists on the come up. Support from his family and peers also played a large role in his advancement as an artist. Today, Young Truth is a well-developed performer and songwriter. He has the ability to know what the people want to hear and at the young age of 22, Young Truth still manages to create music for all ages in urban society Follow @YoungTruthIsMe on twitter! Geevs has been in the music game on and off for 13 years. Since 2003, taking his career more seriously, you can find the young hip-hop recording artist's voice plastered on the 2003 release of "Blood, Sweat and Tyranny" (C4), 2007 release of "The Brainwave Invasion" (Alias Crew) & 2008 release "Green Light District" (Green Light). Geevs has been working on some 2009 material to be released later this year. Literally living in the studio day in and day out, Geevs has posted 2 songs onto his MySpace profile. The guy anthem: "Pretty Girl Ugly" and the jestered lyrical track: "Hate 2 Brag" has been in current play on his Myspace page. Teaming up with super-producer Steven "Q-Beatz" Kubie, responsible for such hits as "Backshots" from The Gwap Boyz and the trend starter "Friends With Benefits" from The Back-Pack Click, Geevs' sound has transformed into part commercial flow/part comedy influenced rhymes and all what he has expected from the production of Q-Beatz. With absolutly no restrictions on rhymes, lines, phrases and ideas---the young clown has been in the studio with "Q" since the beginning of summer hard at work on an "untitled" project to be released later this year or possibly beginning of 2010. So far 2 songs has been released out of a tracklist of 20plus songs. Before releasing the other names for the tracks Q-Beatz and Geevs will copyright the songs as they did "Pretty Girl Ugly" & "Hate 2 Brag" under the Steven Kubie Produtions, LLC ASCAP print Follow @GVGeevs on twitter! “Ole E” certainly has soul. If there’s a such thing as ‘rap-soul,’ he has it.”— Sid “Uncle Jamz” Johnson—C.E.O. of M.E.C.A.P., songwriter and music business consultant Suffice it to say, rapper and producer, Ole-E, is an old soul. The music of storytellers like Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield and The Isley Brothers provided the soundtrack to his childhood growing up in Albany, GA, where he was raised by his older mother, his grandparents and when they all had passed, his mom’s younger sister. Having mature mannerisms personified him as an old man, so his nicknames were “Granddad,” and then Ole-E. Now, the self-described “Rappa-Sanga” also goes by “Stank Sinatra” because his nasally, melodic flow style combines rapping and singing. Ole-E attributes meeting music consultant and Grammy Award winning songwriter, Sid “Uncle Jamz” Johnson as a pivotal career moment. In the late 90’s, Ole-E performed with Suthern Klick on Southern House Records, an independent label owned by Toney “Montana” Mosley in Albany. Under consultation from Johnson, Southern House signed to MCA/Universal in 1998, and its groups, Suthern Klick and Field Mob inked record deals. Albeit brief, Suthern Klick (oft- spelled as Southern Klick) enjoyed commercial success and toured as the opening act for Cash Money Millionaires. Ushering in a genre of grittier, funk-infused rap, “Like Dat” entered Billboard at #36 in November of 1998. In 2000, MCA dropped Suthern Klick but Ole-E continued working with Field Mob as a producer on their CDs, 613: From Ashy to Classy (2000), From the Roota to tha Toota (2002), and Light Poles and Pine Trees (2006). Ole-E released If The Streets Could Talk (2003) on Mosley’s current label, Dirty South Entertainment. Many who purchased the CD online reached out to tell him how much they loved his down-to-earth style. “I like to talk about relationships, really dig deep and get into everyday life situations,” says Ole-E. “I want people to be able to listen to my music as sort of a guideline through a bad thing, like ‘He’s been through the same things we’re going through now,’ and feel better.” Backed by some of the Midwest’s and South’s hottest producers and beat-makers such as Guy Wes, M-80, D Hittz, Uncle Jamz and The La Beaud Boys, Ole-E’s forthcoming CD, Up My Wager has a crisp, instantly likeable quality because of its mainstream potential. “I Bet She’s Freaky (f/Zay),” a song which explores when a man looks at a conservative woman and wonders about her erotic side, falls somewhere near the Trey Songz/Gucci Mane category in terms of how well it could be received by urban radio. “I call [the CD] Up My Wager because it’s like the old casino expression where you’re sitting at the table and you’re winning the game and you throw it all in,” Ole- E explains. “That’s sort of like with my life— I’m throwing it all in, giving it my all— and I feel like I’m winning.” Up My Wager is due October 2010 on Dirty South Entertainment.
