Heralded as a compelling amalgam of Lauryn Hill and Jay-Z, Red Baron has crafted a stirring style that fuses the blues, jazz, soul, R&B and rock, yet still rings true of hip-hop. Having garnered key endorsements from hip-hop legends (EPMD, DJ Scratch), industry tastemakers (Mtv Correspondent Sway), record executives (VP of A&R at Def Jam, Lenny S), and having won the Grand Prize in the Hip-Hop Category for the 2010 John Lennon Songwriting Competition, Red Baron is quickly becoming one of rap music's best kept secrets. Born in the bedrock of blues music, reared in the home of R&B, and classically trained in violin and piano, it would seem he was destined to make music of some sort. Red Baron found his voice as a musician while a student at Morehouse College, where he graduated in 2004. Shortly after graduating, he released his critically acclaimed debut, Paint the Town Red. He is slated to release his highly anticipated second album, entitled, Shades of Grace January 18, 2011. Red has performed in various venues: colleges and universities, national conferences, churches, rehabilitation centers, detention centers, bars, clubs, and even a grocery store. He has shared the stage with hip-hop legends, established international artists, garnered local, national and international radio airplay, and has won local and international songwriting competitions and has also won music industry showcases. His material has been featured on an official mixtape (Empire State Mixtape Vol. 2) alongside exclusive material from some of the more prominent hip-hop artists (e.g. Jay-Z, Kanye West, Will.I.Am, Swizz Beatz, Lil' Wayne, T.I., Usher, Diddy, Neyo, Drake, Nikki Minaj, Rick Ross, etal). The venues have changed, the response has not. Amid a time where most contemporary artists spin tales of lustful acts, violence,

LADY, born Shameka Brown, has always had a way with words. Whether giving speeches, writing poetry, or just telling a story; the way she told it made you visualize her struggle. "Mama told me I had a slick mouth and it'd get me in a lot of trouble" say's Lady. Even though she was right, it also granted her with the musical ability like no other. Lady didn't really notice her lyrical power until the age of 11. Lady went from creating her own spins on hot songs to writing her on music. Soon in 2002, she formed a group with 2 friends and started rapping locally mainly at school. “Yep we had lunch room concerts and I was the main attraction" say's Lady. Being well known for her hardcore rhymes and cocky delivery, beating on the tables for beats, and spitting rhymes like she was the headliner at a concert, Lady then realized that she was talented and was serious about doing more with the music she's grown to love. The lyrical vixen branched off and joined forces with a local Drug Boss and began concentrating on building her music portfolio. Soon after in 2005, the police shut the operation down and Lady was back at square one. Turning to the working force, Lady took a little vacation from music not realizing what fate would her in store for the elevation of her career. Now in 2009 and 20 years young, Lady said Hasta La Vista to a 9 to 5 and kicks in the door to the music industry full time. With her city, Talbotton, GA and family backing her 100% there is nothing standing in her way of success. Lady's determination and raw talent landed her the attention of business Mogul "Big Gates," who is the brother and manager of National Recording Artist, "Plies". "Lady is going to change the game! Since the five years I've been in this industry there hasn't been, and still isn't; a realer female rapper! So there was no question in my mind to sign her!" say's Big Gates. Also, Plies believes, Lady will lead the new era of female artist and will represent the street "BITCHES! After signing her deal with the major recording label, BIG GATES RECORDS on April 1, 2010 the young star has been in the studio with no rest. "My work ethics can't be matched, I'm here share my life raw and uncut" says Lady. With her mixtape "Bitch from Around the Way" hosted by "Plies" schedule for release on May 25, 2010, its just a preview to what the talented young lady has in store for the game. Big Gates Records first lady, who also goes by the name "Lady" is a combination of lyrical and raw. With her raw and in your face lyrics she's sure to make her mark with no time wasted. Lady's stand up, finally there is a voice to represent the strength we posses and who better to tell our story than LADY. Follow @ThisIsLady on twitter! If at ever a time you're aren't happy with what you see in the world, change yourself and the world too shall change. Interestingly enough, more couldn't prove true for upcoming hip hop recording artist SDot of Pretty Boy Ent. Not quite content with the day to day and surroundings of his environment, SDot took his interest in poetry and music and prepared his mindset for that of success. So with something that started out as a 15 year old writing poetry to freestyling to just in a matter of years scribing and recording songs as a 20 year old, SDot to say the least is making significant progress. He since his beginnings has developed a quite an outlook on life that wishes to turn each moment into opportunity and everything else in between into song. But in order to best understand what the vision of SDot is all about, one would have to understand success, what it means and the world from his perception. For this young man from Brooklyn, New York, life in his mind was something he saw he would make the most of whatever he chose to do. However, at the time, just an aspiring performance artist and songwriter, life did not begin to show the most promise until he was introduced to the realm of entrepreneurialism. This new venture toward becoming a businessman was just the direction he needed to jump start any and everything he ever wanted to do. By receiving 4 bottles of fragrance and the formula to make cologne and perfume, SDot took immediate interest in fragrance design. From that moment forward, he realized he had the gift of an extraordinary sense of smell and the ability to create fragrance. Since recognizing his ability, Sylus developed his skills to a level where he is considered a master fragrancer. Not only can he create absolutely breathtaking fragrances, but he can make a fragrance simply by the smell of someone

There is something alluring about an independent artist, who, stands at the threshold of stardom and approaches his craft as confidently as an established rhyme vet. Add a southern-bred attitude, street swagger, and a perpetual thirst to remain on the grind, and you have Tuskegee, Alabama hopeful Q Machette. "Alabama is silent right now, if you look at the rap game no one did it world-wide," he offers. "The only one to gain international stardom from Tuskegee is the Commodores but that is R&B". Q Machette began his career as one-third of Lyrical Machette. The group landed a deal with the indie label, Balling Records. "It was a lot of ins, and outs that were wrong. My lawyer got us out of the situation," he explains. After parting ways with the highly touted rap group Lyrical Machette, Q decided to go solo. According To Q Machette, "I started rapping on a whim during grade school to impress my female classmates". The teachers were so impressed with his lyrical prowess they provided words of encouragement to help nurture his lyrical gift. After putting out several albums independently, the Reggie Bush of rap struck a chord with street heads, which garnered well-deserved attention, making Q Machette the one to watch during hip-hop's first round draft pick. Armed with an elegant delivery and gritty flow the upstart emcee stands above the legion of rappers, experiencing remarkable popularity outside of his hometown by relocating to Atlanta and setting the city on fire. Q Machette is currently in the studio working on his highly anticipated mixtape

In this game of life, one needs courage, wisdom and stamina to succeed. Not many have these qualities and for those who do, not all of them are able to come out on top. Then you have guys like Yeshua, who the world knows simply as J-Menace. Born Yeshua Caesar Alexander and raised in the shy suburbs of Lincoln County, Georgia, J-Menace was an active kid who, in his own words, pretty much raised himself. Both parents were absent figures in his life, especially his mother who was struggling with drug addiction during his childhood. She later passed away from cancer along with J-Menace's biological father who died of pneumonia. With these tragic loses, J-Menace was indeed an independent spirit. In spite of his familial traumas and early battles, J-Menace was able to break free from his broken home-life and stayed focus in his schooling. Aside from excelling in his studies, J-Menace took solace in the game of football. By the time he was 14 he earned the nickname "J-Menace", which he is still known today due to him being a menace on the field. "My position was running back," J-Menace recalls. "No one could catch me, I was that fast." By the time he was a junior in high school, J-Menace was a local celebrity, as his football skills had taken his team to the State Championship. Yet with all the praise and adoration, J-Menace realized he just couldn't settle for a future in quiet Lincoln County. "It was a small town, everybody knew each other and it wasn't diverse at all. I was probably one of a handful of black kids that went to my high school." J-Menace continues, "I remember telling my coach that I wanted to get away and maybe apply to some colleges out of state. He told me that I was talented and all, but I should just join the army because he didn't think I could get into those schools. When he told me that, I was just like,

"Everybody's life has love, hate and pain in it," Jafeezie said. "Making music is my way of dealing with it, growing from it, and moving on." Born in Kingston, New York, JaFeezie's life was changed forever when his parents divorced and he moved to Dallas, Texas with his Father at the young age of 2. But that was the first of many moves, as JaFeezie quickly found himself going from Texas, then to Kansas to live with an Aunt, then back to Texas again. As a result of his turbulent youth, JaFeezie says this made him turn away from his peers and from his parents to where he found his true talent: rapping. Jafeezie, was introduced to the piano, at 8, and from that point forward music became his soul inspiration. "I basically taught myself how to play and began to put words to the music of the piano," JaFeezie said. "By 10 I became familiar with rap music with the sounds of Kool Moe Dee, Run-DMC, LL Cool J and others we all became to love. This was around the same time that movies like Krush Grove gave spark to the break dancing era." By age 11 JaFeezie started writing his thoughts on paper. "I would always be in trouble with the teachers at school, and in trouble with my Dad because I would never do any of my homework. I would just write poems in the spiral notebook that I had. I didn't realize I was writing them in the form of rap." A year later JaFeezie found himself in Topeka, Kansas staying with his Aunt after his relationship with his Dad soured. While attending school in Topeka he would 'rap battle' anyone who thought they had the skills to beat him. "I would out rap anyone hands down. Until one day I met this kid by the name of Dewey Washington (evilloc). We battled day after day at school until we finally decided to start the first ever rap group in Topeka called Def Style." Performing all over Topeka for a 2 year period, the duo's unique sound and style captured people's attention. "I got my first real taste of success, but looking back on it I wasn't able to totally capitalize on my talents right away, because I was still very young." At one point his musical dreams took a detour when he returned to Texas again and gave up on rapping for several years. Reborn out of years of constant hardship, Jafeezie re-launched his rap career at 27, and has been going strong every since. Unleashing a sound that listeners immediately recognized as a mix of East and West coast styles and a bit of the Old South as well. Listeners can feel his personality through his music, like old school rap, with originality in both the lyrics and use of sound. "I've been back in the game strong, brushing up on my skills, studying the rap game, the business side of the game and the artist side of the game," says JaFeezie. Taking notes from successful artists such as Master P, Sean Combs and Jay-z was all the inspiration it took to start his own record label. Now with his 2nd ever national album the world has yet to feel the wrath of JaFeezie. Follow @ItsJafeezie on twitter! To fully experience the NYC-based, musical duo, The Fly, the secret lies not only in the punk / hip-hop / pop fusion of a genre they create, but also in the visceral and tantalizing performance they consistently bring to their audience. The Fly is a combination of a pop-rock weird child from Kansas City, Sir Jove, and a violently-poetic New York City lyricist, Farasha. Both students attending Syracuse University in the class of 2012, Sir Jove and Farasha share a chemistry that is unparalleled, rebellious, and inspiring. The duo met in the summer of 2008 at the Syracuse University admitted freshman summer program. They connected and immediately began working. What started off as merely an opportunity to do what they love as a soul and spoken word duo, with Farasha performing her poetry over Sir Jove
