CG Kush is one of Memphis’ young upcoming musical talents. His creativity, flow, and substance makes him a prime candidate for mainstream fame.Coming from the Whitehaven neighborhood in Memphis CG has been making music since high school and has done numerous shows and dropped a solid arsenal of mixtapes for his followers. His most notable mixtape Gas For Life was a solid production which premiered CG’s style that he can bring to the music industry. His musical inspirations he says are Tupac, Jay- Z, Curren$y and Lil Wayne. But being from the city of Memphis CG Kush’s surroundings played a part in his music as you can hear in his productions. In 2013 Kush was incarcerated for a year and his first 2014 project “Pain and Glory” will be his return debut mixtape. During his prison sentence CG wrote hundreds of songs and plotted his assault on the industry. He plans to continue his pursuit of success in the music industry until he has the same notoriety of his inspirations.
