Poet T (aka Crown Vic Shawty) had a very interesting string of events occur in his life before he ever started making music. Growing up in a small town known by many in Georgia as Blackjack, he had an infatuation with older crowds, hanging mostly with his grandmother who acted as a childhood friend to him. Through his grandmother he was able to learn a lot about life; unfortunately her life was cut short by unforeseen circumstances and Poet T lost her at an early age. One friend who lasted was Prince aka Shawty Slim. T and Slim became the best of friends. Morris had a love for music at an early age; Poet was only age 9 when he first started writing rhymes. In 1998 Poet T had a horrific loss in his life when his father succumbed due to heart failure. His motivation was now set at becoming a better man and provider for his family, but things didn't start out so well in the beginning. While attending East Coweta High School he met plenty of people in his life that could steer him down the wrong path. A whole new world was forming. He was changing also, but not for the good. Although it started out as skipping and disrupting classes, it eventually led to not going altogether and soon after dropping out. He began to smoke weed and stay out all night, but something miraculous happened to him one day and he just stopped. Although not in school anymore, Poet T's focus became solely on becoming one of ATL's most popular artist.

In mid-2007 Poet T linked up with K-Slice of 2-Tears Ent. 2-Tears Ent was making some noise around the area and Poet T saw the opportunity he had been waiting for. The two had attended high school together so the chemistry between the two was already there. From there the ground work began; Poet T began work on his lyrical contributions of the Pre-Judgment Day mixtape with his new 2-Tears family. The mixtape hit the streets in late 2007. Heard on songs such as "The Truth", "Get Off" and "Block Music", Poet T is an artist who can give you versatility and creativeness with every track he's featured on. In late 2008 Poet began working on his solo mixtape entitled "I Salute The Hustle". While creating such hood classics as "Crown Vic", he also blazed a trail for strip club anthems with the release of "Boyfriend", and "Watermelon Lemondrops". But perhaps his best gift to the music industry thus far is the 2010 release of his newest hit single "Racks" which has all the clubs goin crazy. Poet T is going to be around in this industry for a long time, so everyone get used to it.

Racks!!!!
