DJFemmie Posted May 11, 2010 Report Share Posted May 11, 2010 I am not a dude so I look for things that men do not pay attention to - such as does the song have a point, have I heard this message over again and over again is it so laced with profanity that I can't play it at a party that is why so many people that hire djs do not want rap because rappers feel like they have to spew obscenities at everybody and particularly women funny the best rappers in the game have sold more records then anyone and they do it subtly Too many songs use the same phrases swag, crunk, guns poppin off that is why I like Skillz and Guru and Tupac they knew how to weave a story and lay down a blazin hook as well - food for thought. They need to create a new rap style - gutter-rap cause that is where most of the lyrics I hear lately beolong - there Taste is out the window some of these people need to study Ludicris, Snoop Dogg, Wordsmith and Red Cafe.
