Jay-Z has to be one of the most brilliant rappers/businessman there is. He figure out how to guaranteed a platinum selling album before it’s even mix and mastered and make $20 million dollars in the same process.

JSamsung Electronics Co., has bought 1 million copies of the rapper’s upcoming album to give away to owners of the company’s Galaxy smartphones. According to The Wall Street Journal, reports that Samsung paid $5 per album, instantly adding $5 million to Jay-Z’s bank account, apart from the $20 million marketing deal he signed with the company.

This past Sunday, Jay-Z who’s real name is Sean Carter, announced the partnership in an ad that aired during half time of the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The three minute shows Jay working on the album title, Magna Carta Holy Grail which feature production appearances from Rick Rubin, Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beats & Timbaland.

The album is about this duality, how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success, through failure and remain yourself,” Jay-Z says.

Samsung will make the album available for free via ”Magna Carta” app on July 4 at 12:01 a.m. EDT, 72 hours before the record is available to the general public. The app is to be launched June 24.

His most recent business endeavor has been launching Roc Nation Sports, building up the roster with New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith and Notre Dame’s standout starSkylar Diggins.

Just like his wife, Beyonce’s, $50 million deal with Pepsi, Jay-Z deal with Samsung is showing you why their family wants you to ”Watch Their Throne.”
