  1. Cynthia Basinet - "All of Me Remix" Review by Daniel Deprè “All of Me Remix” is an instantly dancy club remix that features sensual lyrics and hard-hitting synths. The original song is by John Legend, and Cynthia Basinet has brought a completely new vision to the table. There is a variety of energy levels that amplifies the emotional presence of the song. It’s quite epic at points which makes it feel amazing to listen to. This is the kind of music that can elicit a cathartic response from the listener. The mix/production is top-notch and all of the synths sound fantastic. The lyrics are reflecting on the tantalizing powers of attraction. They employ creative imagery to recreate the feeling of feeling deeply into someone else. Often when we feel attracted to another, we feel desperate to know what they’re thinking. This causes us so much agony, and the lyrics wonderfully reflect this sentiment. “I can’t pin you down, what’s going on in that beautiful mind? I’m on your magical mystery ride and I’m so dizzy, don’t know what hit me, but I’ll be alright.” The lyrics also strike a satisfying balance between poetic and sensual, never being too dirty or overly descriptive. “Love your curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfections, give your all to me, I’ll give my all to you.” The remix arrangement features all the classic 80’s club-style synths and they are relentlessly cool. It’s inspiring how well this song lends itself to being a dance anthem. The arpeggiator synth that kicks everything off is buoyant and instantly catchy, it draws you in with its cyclical nature. The beat is thick and punchy, you can practically feel the kick in your chest. Cynthia basinet’s vocals are very 80’s inspired, and they sound lovely. She has a slightly deeper voice, singing with a laid-back style that wonderfully contrasts the more hyper-sounding synths. All the synths create an exciting bed of neon-inspired synths for her vocals to confidently sit on top. “All of Me Remix” is a creative and inventive remix that maintains the original's emotional core while making it upbeat and fun.
