BLAKGLOBE RECORDS WAS INCORPORATED IN 2004 BY MIDWEST NATIVE RHASUN TAPP. BLAKGLOBE'S PRIOR DISTRIBUTION DEALS INCLUDE eONE ENTERTAINMENT AND SELECT-O-HITS, ALSO THE HOME OF MC/SONGWRITER BIZZ THE PRINCE.
In 1993, Rhasun's (Founder of Blakglobe Records) childhood friend Supreme introduced him to the music industry as a street team promoter for Wu-Tang and it's affiliate group Killarmy. As a resident of Jersey City, the Mid-West native flooded the streets of Northern Jersey and New York with assistance from his grass-roots street team he organized and commanded. In late 1997, Rhasun migrated back to Ohio to attend college at a local University majoring in sociology. In 2002, the wiser, more focused student relocated back to New Jersey and began a career in real estate sales. In 2004, Rhasun was introduced to a group of hip-hop artist who sparked his interest in returning to the music industry; but this time in an executive role. In 2004, he signed four artists to his newly found label Blakglobe Records Inc.
Rhasun's vision was to eventually have a prominent artist from various backgrounds and nationalities on each continent. In 2006, Blakglobe released it's debut album "Blaktrilogy" (Various Artists). The album included current Blakglobe star artist Bizz The Prince. The success of this album positioned Blakglobe to sign a joint venture to release Bizz's solo album through eOne Distribution formerly known as Koch.
In 2011, Blakglobe decided to sign a deal with Select-O-Hits to distribute Bizz's album "Prince of Jersey 2.0". The album featured DJ Kayslay, Kinetic 9, Philadelphia Freeway, Q Parker from the R&B group 112, Ho2fa (HOFFA) and production from 4th Disciple. The album was available in retailers such as Best Buy, Sam Goody, and FYE. In addition to various online sites such as iTunes and Amazon.
