After a false start with 50 Cent's G-Unit label, the career of O.T. Genasis truly took off when Busta Rhymes caught the Atlanta-born, Long Beach-raised rapper performing the early-2014 single "Touchdown" not once, not twice, not three times, but four consecutive times for a demanding but rapt crowd. O.T. Genasis subsequently joined Busta's Conglomerate Entertainment label and signed to parent label Atlantic for distribution. Together they released a version of "Touchdown" with verses from Busta and French Montana. The relatively relaxed follow-up single "CoCo," another ode to dealing cocaine, was released that November and swiftly became a bigger hit. Plans to release a major-label debut album in 2015 failed to materialize, but the rapper launched 2016 with three similarly named singles, "Do It," "Push It," and "Cut It." ~ Andy Kellman

The progenitor of what he terms ratchet music (what others might call strip club anthems), DJ Mustard (Dijon McFarlane) is a rap and R&B DJ and producer from South Central Los Angeles, California whose 2010s rise is attributed to a simple, hypnotic sound. He started with YG, as heard on the 2010 mixtape The Real 4Fingaz, but his first big hit came the following year with Tyga's "Rack City," which reached number seven on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and went double platinum. His 2012 hits came with 2 Chainz's "I'm Different" -- another double-platinum smash -- and Young Jeezy's "R.I.P." In 2013, he was behind a quartet of singles that hit the Top Ten of Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart: YG's "My N*gga," Ty Dolla Sign's "Paranoid," Kid Ink's "Show Me," and Trey Songz's "Na Na." The year also saw the release of a DJ Mustard mixtape, Ketchup, on which he was joined by many of the above-mentioned rappers, as well as Dom Kennedy, Casey Veggies, and Cashout. Mustard's 2014 involved ten tracks produced for YG's My Krazy Life, collaborations with Tinashe, Ty Dolla Sign, and TeeFlii, and the development of his proper debut album. ~ Andy Kellman

Durk D. Banks, aka Lil Durk, is a rapper and singer from the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois' South Side. He started issuing mixtapes through OTF (Only the Family) in August 2011 with I'm a Hitta and quickly followed it with I'm Still a Hitta (April 2012) and Life Ain't No Joke (October 2012), the latter of which came out just after the typically melodic and kicked-back "L's Anthem," his debut single for Def Jam. The same year, he was featured on a string of tracks with fellow Chicago natives and close associates like Lil Reese, Fredo Santana, and Chief Keef. "Dis Ain't What U Want," his second Def Jam single, came in May 2013, just before his affiliation with French Montana's Coke Boys was made official. His debut album, Remember My Name, followed in 2015 and featured Logic, Jeremih, and King Popo as guests. ~ Andy Kellman

Formed several years ago by blood, the love, and the passion for music craft, Rico and J'rod are still on the road to success to gain their name. Under the independent management of thier guardian and previous manager Otis Thompson, they have hit many venues and worked with alot of indiviuals in and outside the music industry. Their determination, faith and talent has unlocked doors usually closed to unknown acts. They have served as opening acts for the following artists: Kci and Jo Jo, B2K, Bow Wow, Mario, Tyrone Davis, Willie Clayton, Sir Charles Jones, Bobby Valentino, Avant, Latoya Luckett, Usher, Paster Troy, Eightball and MJG, Cadillac Don and Jmoney, Eric Benet', Miles and South Star, Brandy, Yung Joc, Slim Thugg, Lil Flip, Ronnie Spencer, Urban Mystic, Keshia Cole, Silk, Lil Booise, Webbie, etc. They believed artists can be made, but only superstars can only be born. They live their art and career day to day and suffer, commit, and sacrifice for their destiny. RecognitioN also holds many titles including writing, song arrangements, melody compositons, vocal delivery, entertainment, and also college students. They carry themselves as an example to their peers everyday. They believe in setting a positive example through their art by teaching others to be themselves, make the best out of life, and enjoy life, also by addressing issues in their music. RecognitioN also practice having an open mind and seeing the "BIG PICTURE". They explore all types of music and study its creation. They work on the edge of many genres of music, because of this factor they called their music EDGE MUZIK. "Edge Muzik is any music that touches the heart no matter what circumstances", says Rico while explaining throughly and looking good fo their fans. "We love to be crative and orginal with formal wear, it keeps the ladies screaming", says J'rod. RecognitioN is focused and serious about their art and career. So lookout and pray fot them and recognize RecognitioN...
