Ghostface Killah Sues Universal

Rapper Ghostface Killah has filed a lawsuit over the rap groups royalties against Universal. The Wu-Tang Clan lyricist filed the suit in New York State Court on yesterday (August 10), claiming that Universal has collected twice the amount of royalties from the rapper's catalog.

Universal has claimed that they owned 50% of the Wu-Tang Clan catalog, but a decision in February stated that the label only owns a 25% stake and should only be collecting 12.5% of the income earned from the group's songs under the contract.
