Roddy Ricch is having the best 2020 so far and shows no signs of slowing down.

The Compton rapper just wrapped up an incredible January. His latest single, “The Box” has spent the last 4 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts, while his debut album, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial remains atop the Billboard 200 album charts. It is no surprise to the success of Roddy Ricch. With an already gold-certified debut, platinum status and beyond is right around the corner.

Now Roddy has something in common with another legendary rapper. Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial is the first debut album to top the Billboard 200 charts for 4 weeks since 50 Cent’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ in 2003. The album would ascend Fif to superstar status and earn him Billboard number 1s with hits “In Da Club” and “21 Questions.” 50’s debut went on to sell six million copies in the United States and 15 million worldwide. By the end of 2003, Fif would earn the Billboard’s top spot for the best album of the year. Roddy Ricch is certainly trending in that direction of success as well.

The “War Baby” rapper received his first Grammy Award last month for “Rack In The Middle” with Nipsey Hussle and Hit-Boy.

Following the Chief’s Super Bowl win on Sunday, they celebrated to Roddy Ricch’s number one hit. As more championships, moments arise, “The Box” will see its share number of plays throughout the year and beyond. Let’s continue to stream “The Box” all month, so it can remain at the top spot.
