On "Summer Breeze," he switches from restrained melodic poetry to faster flows to a big, smooth pop hook. He is currently writing and recording in Long Beach, CA, and this is the first single from his forthcoming project (still untitled), due out in fall 2016. "This is a song I wrote at a point where I was getting stressed out by all the difficulties of daily life. Caught up in the minutia. I was sitting on my back porch with my girlfriend one Friday night. It was early summer. We were sharing a joint, and I had a moment of clarity. I took a deep breath and suddenly felt free of all the stress and negativity. I remembered how good life is and how blessed I am. And I decided that I wanted to live in that moment mentally forever.
