The self-proclaimed Son of Birmingham, Ripcord is an entertainer straight from the heart of Birmingham, Alabama's Westside. Musically inclined from a young age, Ripcord learned to read music played drums in middle school and singing in his high school’s choir. He started hustling from an early age which eventually left him facing 25 to life in Prison. After a serious stint behind bars Ripcord found his way to the booth and started applying his street entrepreneurship to his music.

Starting his own record label (Street Fame Ent) and publishing company (Skybox Publishing), he is a business man and musical force to be reckoned with. His debut album 1st 48 the Release, is a sultry collection of songs describing his lifestyle and his unique perspective as he covers numerous topics. From coming up in the streets of Birmingham, and relationships with women, to the lack of opportunities for young black men, and the prison system.

Travelling the east coast doing shows from New York to Alabama, Ripcord has amassed a following online as well as numerous accolades. Landing in 2nd place in the Coast to Coast rap competition in Birmingham, led to a spread in Coast to Coast magazine. He has performed at the 2015 Fleet DJs convention in Charlotte, NC. By opening up for artists such as Rich Homie Quan, Bankroll Fresh, Shy Glizzy, Young Buck, Nipsey Hustle and Webbie.  Ripcord has built momentum and blazed his own path with his realistic approach to music.

By rapping about his life experiences and observations, he has broken in to a fabricated, rap industry with a dose of substance and wealth of street knowledge. There is nowhere to go but up for the conscious rapper with the raspy vocals.
