GreenHitz.com Report post Posted April 27, 2016 Artist Dave Skillz (David Boyd) was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 22, 1987. He began writing music at the age of 13 when he met a group of artist around the same age as him. As Skillz practiced perfecting his craft on becoming a better artist he later needed original instrumentals. Producers were pricing beats that weren't in his budget so around the age of 16 Skillz started making his own beats. During this period Skillz was also working two jobs to pay for studio time. In 2009 he joined the U.S. Navy, and while serving he saved enough money to buy equipment and build his own home studio. Dave Skillz is currently signed to independent label Infamous Sound Music Line. With a handful of mixtapes and videos that has 10s of thousands of views online through various media platforms, Skillz is ready to give the industry a breath of fresh air! A new polished sound! With a ton of commercial appeal the Atlanta native had garnished attention from various major record labels so far in 2015.
