Born October 26, in St.Catherine’s, Jamaica, Roger O’Neil Cassup, known to fans across the world as ‘Razor B’, is taking dancehall music by storm. Razor’s many talents include songwriting, producing, DJ’ing and composing. He is an accomplished chef and entrepreneur, owing his own restaurant and catering company, OG Restaurant and Catering, based in Toronto Canada.

Razor entered the dancehall community at a very young age. Growing up outside Kingston, Jamaica, Razor was constantly surrounded by reggae music. It was a way of life and self expression in his community. Very quickly Razor decided that his first love, reggae music would enable him to leave a mark on the world After years of doing dub plates for various sounds across the world, Razor started Razor B Promotions in 1999. It was a promising start to a very interesting career. In June 1999, ‘It’s all about Dad’s not Deadbeats’ came to life. This was the first stage show hosted by Razor B Promotions. By November 1999 Razor decided that promotions was not fueling his hunger as it once had, so he headed into the studio, collaborating with various artist and producers and writing his own music.

Razor focused his attention in 2009 on creating as sophomore album worthy of release, insisting on creating a diverse collection of recordings that would appeal to young and old across ethnic and economic boundaries.

He drew from social issues, collaborating with many known and upcoming artists, to deliver a catchy roots and culture vibe that strives to bring back awareness and responsibility into the hearts of people globally.

Watch Yah delivered a well accepted track and video by fans and critics alike. The video, shot in Jamaica, has also received rave reviews and has been played in rotation since its release in 2009. Rise Up followed shortly and has been praised internationally.
