2dopeboyz Report post Posted June 30, 2014 Legendary singer Bobby Womack died of unknown causes on Friday (June 27). The 70-year old crooner's music career spanned several decades, with roots as the lead singer of R&B group The Valentinos and as a backup guitarist for Sam Cooke. Womack's heartfelt songs reached beyond the new breed of R&B singers. The 2009 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee is also responsible for some of your favorite rap songs. Here are eight hip-hop records that sample the great Bobby Womack. —Darryl Robertson 1. Big K.R.I.T. "Just Touched Down" (2010) Bobby Womack, "Across 110th Street" (1972) 2.
