“6/28/94. 20 years ago today, Da Brat released her debut album “Funkdafied” on So So Def Recordings/Chaos Records/Columbia Records. After selling a million copies, it made Da Brat the first female rapper to go platinum. Produced by Jermaine Dupri.”
