Big Boy and Kanye West

Kanye West has been making the radio rounds during his “Yeezus Tour.” Before his second show at L.A.’s Staples Center tonight, the music mogul sat down with Power 106′s “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” to discuss why he won’t work with Louis Vuitton again, his grand proposal to Kim Kardashian (orchestrated by DONDA), his wedding plans, and the paparazzi.

While he shied away from baby questions, North West’s father did reveal that they considered Nori as North’s official name. He wanted her to only have one name, North, and no last name, but Kim was against it.

He also got on the mic and busted out a freestyle about what makes him mad and gave an impromptu performance of “Good Life” and “Otis.”

Find out when he plans to tie the knot and why he demands respect from the paparazzi.

On Louis Vuitton: “If I had the opportunity to design for Louis Vuitton now, I wouldn’t because the prices is just too extreme, and I don’t want to use my message to have kids saving up that much to be a part of what the ideas are.”

On fashion: “I’m the most influential person in fashion of the past 10 years.”

On his influence: “I ain’t Michael Jackson. I’m not just a musician, I’m a Christian, revolutionary, visionary, products person. I ain’t here to dance for you. I ain’t hear to do a two step. … Ten years from now, I just want to create for the church, period. I’ll design the new Sistine Chapel.”

On his over-the-top proposal at San Francisco’s AT&T Park: “I gotta apologize to the race of males for turning up so much.”

On the 15-carat diamond engagement ring he gave to Kim: “She knew I was eventually going to ask her to marry me, but I just had to get that ring right. I worked with four different jewelers. Three rings were made. Only one actually hit the finger with Lorraine [schwartz]. She came through. That ring was less than four hours old by the time I gave it to her.”

On his wedding: “Hopefully next summer. For me, it ain’t no surprises. All I know is fighter jets, man.”

On the paparazzi: “They help me to influence. At any point, if I want to talk directly to the public, I can use that outlet too. … I should be respected to the highest level at this point for what I’ve been able to accomplish at this age.”
