J. Gray aka Emcee Drunken MOnk is a producer, keyboardist, and vocalist originally from Louisiana and who now resides between The Bay area, Manila Philippines, and Billings Montana. Gray studied music in high school at a school of the arts in Shreveport, Louisiana and later piano performance at MSU and The Jazz School in Berkeley California. His last mixtape "Ghost Flow" was well received and included a diverse artist lineup including bars from artist such as Merky Ace of the london grime scene and Honey Cocaine a prominent Toronto female emcee. He also collaborated with the young east oakland artist Nittlz and TBM on that project as well. MOnk has performed his music acoustically as well as over produced tracks and likes to blend genres such as blues, house,trip-hop and jazz into a hybrid sound. He is planning to tour more extensively in 2016 to bring these recent creations to fans vis a vis and has maintained a low key performance schedule mainly in the Bay over the past several years. His latest mixtape "Throw Singles" are his singles released over the past 6 months and includes an underground unreleased track "Nasty Freak Style" featuring Lil Wayne.
