Daronta Lee (born October 9, 1982), better known by his stage name Lil Hype, is an American rapper. He is the C.E.O. of illest Records. He has released several underground mixtapes throughout the past decade. These releases include "I Smoke Like Smokey Robinson Vol 1 & Vol 2," "Trappin While I'm Rappin," & "Da Streets Callin Me." The Summer of 2011 will birth his best body of work to date; the "Hood Star" mixtape, hosted by the world famous DJ Chuck T.
