Stephon Willingham Jr. "Fatman" was born and raised in Ridgeway, South Carolina, to Stephon Willingham and Linda Adams. Family is the most important part of his life, because his grandmother Robbie Mae Adams instilled in him the importance of family and loving everyone.

He attended Fairfield Central High School in Winnsboro, South Carolina. After taking several wrong turns Fatman dropped out of high school. Later on after a tragic incident landing two of his cousins in prison, one which was his best friend he decided to take a different route and become a barber.
